ONE NIGHT ONLY

EST. 2017
OUR STORY

On the morning of September 24th 2017 Dylan and Olivia woke up excited for the day ahead. It was a Sunday so naturally Dylan was ready to watch his favorite football team (The Carolina Panthers) at a local bar. Olivia was getting ready to watch The House On Cliff (band Olivia managed for many years) play at the local Allston Street Fair. When Dylan arrived at Tavern In The Square (also known as TITS- very classy) he was optimistic and hoping for a win that would bring the Panthers to a 3-0 winning streak. Olivia arrived at the Allston Street Fair around the same time and was hanging out with the band before the show. The stage was set up on the corner of Brighton Ave and Harvard Ave - which happened to be a literal stone’s throw away from Tavern In The Square. Dylan very quickly realized that this was not the game he was hoping for. The Panthers were taking a beating and it was not looking good. To ease the pain of this annihilation Dylan was throwing back a lot of beers- like a lot! Meanwhile outside The House On Cliff had started performing and Olivia was happily observing the festival goers enjoying the show. Heartbroken and completely wasted, Dylan decided it was time to go home. He got up from his bar stool and staggered outside on to the busy side walk. Just then, he hears something that brings the life back to his defeated soul- rock and roll. Right there on the corner, The House Of Cliff was slaying ‘Whole Lotta Love’ - this was just what Dylan needed to forget the horrible loss that he just endured. Out of the corner of her eye Olivia sees this person walk up to the stage. He had long brown hair and carried himself in a way that she saw as very unique (he was drunk). So much so, that she thought ‘He must not be from here’. As Dylan danced around like he had never danced before Olivia thought WOW this guy really likes the band and took the opportunity to sell some merch. She offered him a CD and a sticker which he bought with no hesitation and continued dancing his ass off. Dylan’s dance moves were something to behold- head banging, arms and legs flailing, spinning, jumping, the only way to truly describe it is he was ‘dancing like a crazy person’. At one point an Allston local decided to give Dylan a PBR (beer) which he then decided to thrust in the air - right in front of some police walking by (to anyone not from MA - open containers are illegal) so as you can imagine, Olivia started to worry about this (cute) foreign guy who happens to know NOTHING about the laws. The police came and went, thankfully Dylan wasn’t thrown in the drunk tank and the show came to an end. Olivia had to know what this guy’s deal was so she approached him after the show. To her SHOCK, he was 110% American and his name was Dylan. They talked a little bit about music - he was a singer and just joined a new local band. She offered to introduce him to The House On Cliff and they went their separate ways. Flash forward to a week later, Olivia was celebrating a friend’s birthday at Tavern In The Square when a guy walked into the bar, he has long brown hair but it’s in a bun and he has glasses on. She says “Hey, I know you”. As people say- after that night - the rest is history.
